Three rockets fell near the US embassy in Baghdad on Monday, the third such attack in Iraq in a week.
The Katyusha missiles landed in the Green Zone in Iraq on Monday evening, according to a defense official. The official said there were no reports of injured U.S. workers but is still pending confirmation. The Green Zone is several miles wide and houses the embassy and other government buildings.
The attack comes after at least four rockets hit Balad Air Base and injured one person on Saturday evening. The US defense company Sallyport is present at the base and is tasked with supporting the Iraqi fleet of US-made F-16 fighter aircraft.
