999 crews called as helicopter crashes with two people on board

A helicopter crashed in a field with two people on board.

Emergency services were dispatched to Herefordshire after the incident occurred around 3 p.m. today, Friday April 2nd.

Police and rescue workers are present in a field on Bromyard Road in Ledbury. Birmingham Live reports.

The location of the incident is approximately 12 miles outside of Hereford and 14 miles outside of Worcester.

West Mercia Police said in a statement: “At around 3pm this afternoon (Friday April 2nd) we were told that a helicopter had crashed in a field on Bromyard Road in Ledbury, Herefordshire.

“Emergency services are currently on site.

“Two people were on board the helicopter and while the extent of the injuries is not yet known, it is not believed to be serious.”

According to the Malvern GazetteThe police have received a number of calls from members of the public about the incident.

Details about the type of helicopter involved or what may have caused the incident are not yet known.
