Aldi, Sainsburys and ASDA recall eggs due to potential salmonella

A certain amount of eggs from several of the UK’s leading supermarkets are being recalled – because they may contain salmonella.

The Food Standards Agency provides precautionary advice to consumers who have purchased a specific batch of British lion eggs.

Affected eggs can be identified using the batch code and the best-before date on the eggshell.

The affected eggs are only sold in some of the select stores in England and Wales listed below.

The affected eggs are in batches 1UK15270.

Sainsbury’s is the worst hit business with a number of packs being recalled.
