Alexa to play Queen's Christmas Day message for second time

Amazon has announced that the Queen’s Christmas message can be listened to for the second time in a row via Alexa.

After millions tuned in over the radio, radio and Alexa in 2020 to hear the Queen’s annual ceremonial address, Amazon Alexa device users across the Commonwealth will have the opportunity to hear this year’s Christmas Day speech at 3 p.m. GMT.

To hear the message, just ask Alexa, play the Queen’s Christmas message or Alexa, play Queen Elizabeth’s Christmas Day Message and the official audio recording of the speech will play in full.

“After customers asked Alexa last year to play Her Majesty the Queen’s Christmas Message, we are delighted to be able to offer this experience again this year across the Commonwealth,” said Eric King, Director of Alexa Europe.

“At a time when we come together to think together and look ahead, we hope that this digital innovation will continue to delight customers.”

For Alexa customers in the Commonwealth and beyond, the speech will be available to those with Amazon Alexa devices (Echo, Echo Plus, Echo Dot, Echo Show, Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Stick) who speak in languages ​​like eng_UK, eng_US, eng_AU are set, eng_CA and eng_IN.
