Last year, AMD introduced the Navi 10 GPU-based Radeon RX 5600M and RX 5700M models. However, these cards were not widely used in laptops. We can say that we have not even seen the model RX 5700M. But it seems that AMD wants to pay more attention to the mobile market in 2021. According to the latest reports, the mobile video card AMD Radeon RX 6800M features have emerged.
The RX 6000 series, which has passed 7nm TSMC production, features RDNA 2 architecture.
Mobile video card Radeon RX 6800M features appeared: Navi 22 GPU
AMD introduced RX 6000 graphics cards with RDNA 2 architecture in October and made an ambitious entry into the market. However, due to problems in the production of chips and excessive demand, stocks were running out. It is not known if a similar situation will occur with the Mobil RX 6000 series. Although NVIDIA had a stock problem with desktop graphics cards, it continued to produce on mobile devices.
@KOMACHI_ENSAKA, known for hardware leaks on Twitter, came up with new information. According to her, AMD will prefer the Navi 22 GPU to the RX 6800M card. The performance drop in mobile graphics cards is also experienced with AMD. Expected to outperform the RX 6700 XT, the RX 6800M is codenamed 73D5: C3.
Radeon RX 6800M features include 2560 stream processors (equivalent to CUDA cores on NVIDIA side). The Navi 22 GPU has four different TGP values: 145W, 135W, 100W and 90W. The 145W model is estimated on the RX 6800M. 100W and 90W models are expected to ship with the RX 6700M.
The Navi 22 GPU is said to have a 192-bit or 160-bit memory bus. Under this configuration, the card will likely have 12 GB or 10 GB of VRAM.
The RX 6600M and RX 6500M cards will compete with the GA106 GPU-based NVIDIA models. These two cards will most likely be launched with the Navi 23 GPU. Finally, the Navi 24 GPU is expected to compete with the Intel Xe and NVIDIA MX400 series.
What do you think of the AMD Radeon RX 6800M features?
