Judge Amy Coney Barrett, President Donald Trump’s candidate for the Supreme Court, will meet with Senators, including Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, on Tuesday, according to a senior administration official.
In addition to McConnell (R-Ky.), Barrett will also meet with several Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee, including Chairman Lindsey Graham (RS.C.) and Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Mike Crapo (R-Idaho). She will also get together with John Thune (R-S.D.) And Sens. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) And Rick Scott (R-Fla.).
Trump officially nominated Barrett on Saturday to replace the late judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg and sparked a controversial battle just weeks before the presidential election.
