Anatel Discloses Cell Phones With 5G Homologated

Anatel (National Telecommunications Agency) released the full list of 5G mobile phones approved in Brazil last Wednesday (22). In addition to the models, the list shows the trade names and manufacturers of the devices.

According to the entity, smartphones are the main interface between users and the new fifth-generation networks, which are expected to be operational in Brazilian capitals by the end of the first half of 2022.

Anatel also explained that before purchasing any alleged 5G devices, consumers should check the list of officially approved models and the presence of the agency’s seal on the device itself, the manual or the box.

“The certification and approval guarantees consumers the purchase and use of telecommunications products that meet the quality and safety standards, in addition to the technical characteristics regulated by Anatel aimed at efficient and rational use of the radio spectrum, electromagnetic compatibility and non-aggression to the environment,” he inquired.
