Android users urged to delete 47 dangerous apps downloaded 15m times

Android users have been urgently warned to rid their devices of 47 apps branded “dangerous” by tech experts.

The apps, which are reportedly disguised on smartphones as games, could prove massively troublesome for your beloved mobile device.

The apps are available on the Google Play store and have been downloaded 15 million times.

37 of them are still available for you to download right now – despite warnings from tech insiders and smartphone safety experts.

The apps include adware technology that can infiltrate your smartphones with ads – draining your battery and giving you a real headache.

Experts at Avast are responsible for discovering the alarming apps, with experts there telling users to “remain vigilant.”

Users can check for telltale signs of a bad app through a number of ways.
