Ant McPartlin was worried new show Limitless Win would 'bankrupt ITV'

Ant McPartlin said he and Declan Donnelly were concerned they would “go bankrupt ITV” with their new game show.

In Limitless Win, participants fight for the world’s first unlimited jackpot.

Five hour long episodes will be broadcast on Saturday night, with the broadcaster describing the show as “packed with drama, danger and real emotion”.

McPartlin said, “We were worried that we would bankrupt ITV.”

Donnelly quipped that they had to call TV host Andi Peters, who is known for running cash competitions on ITV’s morning programs, for “more prize money.”

When asked what her show is all about, McPartlin said, “I think ours is different because the answer to every question is a number, and it’s very simple and anyone can play.

“You don’t have to be the minds of Britain. And on other quiz shows, suddenly, when the money is very serious, you can’t play the answers anymore, but you can use it to try each one.

“And what’s special about it is that it’s the world’s first limitless jackpot. That’s the selling point for us, and what won us over, is the fact that there is no grand prize and if you play this game right you can win millions and millions of pounds. “

The duo have hosted a number of primetime shows over the years, including Saturday Night Takeaway and I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here !, and won a number of TV awards, including National Television’s Favorite TV Presenter Awards for 20 years in a row.

However, Donnelly said that Limitless Win caught his attention more than any other show in the past decade.

“Nothing has really tickled us in the last 10 years, nothing has really grabbed us. And when we first played this we were like, ‘Oh my god, I love it. I love it, ‘”he said.

McPartlin recalled a moment when the couple was having a hard time keeping their composure when a couple on the show decided to risk a lot of money.

He said, “We carry our emotions on our faces and there is a point in the first episode where the couple we have are risking a lot of money that they have already deposited and we are almost kittens and almost jumping over the “side of the set.”

Limitless Win starts on Saturday on ITV.
