A lonely bachelor decided to speed up his search for love by introducing himself on billboards to a future wife.
Mohammed Malik, 29, decided to post a picture of himself on billboards in Birmingham and set up the FindMalikAWife.com website to improve his chances of finding the picture.
But the bold move has proven to be a huge success as Malik has reportedly received more than 1,000 responses on its website Birmingham Live.
In addition, another 1,000 people have contacted him on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
Mohammed, an innovation consultant and entrepreneur, spoke to Radio Five Live about the massive response he’s received and explained how he would sort the responses.
He said, “I am really pleased I am actually overwhelmed with the answers.
“There were now over a thousand responses on the official channel, the website, but then even more responses, even more than a thousand on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook and social media and the like. It’s a nice surprise. “
He brought a few friends together to create tables that organize the answers and can create columns with age, location, hobbies, and personality type.
Meetings with the final candidates will take place in the coming weeks.
The billboards that have been set up around Birmingham show a picture of Mohammed lying on his side and facing up. It also contains a line of joke: “Save me from an arranged marriage.
He said, “My ideal partner would be a Muslim woman in her twenties who is trying to improve her faith.
“I’m open to any ethnicity, but I have a noisy Punjabi family – so you have to stick with the bats. Always personality and belief above everything else!
‘PS I am an only child and take care of my mom and dad. If that’s a deal breaker, I don’t think it’ll work. “
