Two paramedics have come under fire after posting a video of themselves on TikTok.
Chris Pullar uploaded a video of himself and a colleague dancing in the back seat of an ambulance to Rod Stewart’s Do Ya Think I’m Sexy.
The two men have received backlash from viewers, who have been angry and unfazed by where they filmed the clip. Sussex Live Reports.
Chris goes by the TikTok name @Landrovermedic and has more than 180,000 followers on the popular social networking site.
On his profile he has posted numerous videos of himself in the ambulance and at work, according to the Daily Mail.
There are often funny videos of him and his colleagues playing pranks on each other and singing in the van.
But it’s his December 15 post that has sparked some unwanted outrage.
The video has garnered more than 1.5 million views and more than its fair share of criticism.
Chris, a former firefighter who is now under contract with the Healthcare and Transport Services (HATS) Group, captioned the video “Why not, eh?” with him and his colleague unleashing some waist filled dance moves in the van.
One person in the comments took the opportunity to criticize the video, citing the long wait times for ambulances that people often face these days.
“So when they say ‘ambulance has to wait 10 hours,’ that’s what they do,” the user said.
Another said bluntly: “Shouldn’t you be saving lives?”
Another commented on the wait for ambulances, saying: “Now I don’t know why ambulances are late.”
“Aren’t they supposed to work lol,” another user said in response to the light-hearted video.
Another viewer took a more humorous approach to the video, saying, “The patient who’s almost dead is filming this right now.”
While there was some backlash to the video, many others have supported the two paramedics for having a sympathetic side in such trying circumstances.
One user responded by saying: “People in the comments clearly don’t understand what staff breaks are,” and another said: “All of our emergency services are doing a fantastic job so enjoy your time at work.
“Your job is so damn hard, well done boys and girls.”
Many also praised the two paramedics and their good looks. One smitten user said: “Damn yeah I think I might need your help.” And another said, “Why don’t the paramedics look like this around here?”
