The latest version of the Battlefield franchise will be out next month.
However, to the delight of many fans of the series, the open beta will start this week so the public can try it out before deciding whether to buy the game or not.
The beta will include the classic game mode Conquest on the new map Orbital with 128 players on one map.

It will run from October 6th to 8th for those who have purchased the game in advance, and then the game will be open to the general public from October 8th to 10th.
Fans can now pre-install the game before it launches tomorrow. Here is everything you need to know about the preload and how to download it.
So you can start downloading the Battlefield 2042 beta preload today
First, make sure you have pre-ordered the game or are part of EA Play to begin pre-loading the beta. If you pre-ordered the game on the console, there should be an option to download the open beta on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X Store.
If you pre-ordered the game from another retailer, check your email to see if you received a key to access the open beta.
When you play on Steam, you will need to go to the game’s store page and scroll down to see the Open Beta section.
When you click Request Access, you should be granted access if you meet the criteria above.
If you pre-ordered the game from Origin or are part of EA Play, the game should be available in your library for pre-download to your PC.
Battlefield 2042 is slated for November 19, 2021 on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One consoles, PS4, PS5 and PC.
