BBC Question Time live: Trade minister and PM's former aide grilled by audience

The BBC’s premier political debate show Question Time is back on our screens tonight, live from Nottingham.

Moderator Fiona Bruce will be accompanied by a studio audience and a panel from politics, journalism and science.

Conservative Trade Secretary Penny Mordaunt, Labor Shadow Sports Secretary Alison McGovern, scientist and broadcaster Robert Winston, journalist Anne McElvoy and former Prime Minister Advisor Samuel Kasumu will discuss the day’s topics.

Kasumu is an award-winning social entrepreneur, commentator and strategist who worked for the Prime Minister between 2019 and 2021 before stepping down following the release of the controversial government-backed report on systemic racism in the UK in March.

Topics likely to be addressed include the ongoing supply chain crisis, the lack of one-on-one consultations by GPs and the upcoming Cop26 environmental summit in Glasgow.

We’ll bring you live updates of the show below. Question Time starts at 10:35 p.m.
