When he served as vice president in 2014, he said a presidential run could affect his golf game.
“If you want to keep your golf handicap, don’t run for president. So I’m expecting strokes,” Biden said, according to CNN. It was unclear whether he was joking, CNN reported.
Biden’s predecessor, former President Donald Trump, attended the course nearly 300 times during his tenure, according to the website TrumpGolfCount. Trump’s frequent golfing has often been a line of attack by the Democrats.
Trump used golf often as in his “executive time”, during which he had unplanned conversations and calls, POLITICO reported earlier. Trump had dealt with former President Barack Obama on golf many times in office and said he would not have “time” to golf if he became President.
