Bob Saget’s daughter Lara wrote a heartfelt tribute to her late father on Instagram on Thursday.
Lara, Saget’s daughter with ex-wife Sherri Kramer, started her message: “For anyone who is afraid to love, unconditional love is the greatest gift..”
“My dad loved everything he had,” she continued, alongside a photo of her and her dad sharing a sweet moment during a shoot. “He had so many reasons to be afraid to love. Many loved ones dropped the body.”
But, Lara noted, “Instead of being afraid, he loved more. I am beyond grateful to receive and give that love.
“Love completely and be kind. Of all the lessons he has taught me, these feel the most. With love ❤️”
Lara, 32, had spoken to her family in a joint statement issued after Saget’s unexpected passing earlier this month, asking for privacy as they mourned the loss of the comic and actor often referred to as “America’s father.” “.
“We invite you to join us in commemorating the love and laughter Bob brought to the world,” the family concluded. They were joined by a host of A-listers from across the entertainment industry for Saget’s funeral on January 14 in Los Angeles.
Lara is a sculptor and painter who attended Barnard College. She explained in an interview in August 2021 that she co-founded the collective “Studio 200” with her sister Aubrey in 2013 and that the pair “have curated pop-up shows across the city and Brooklyn since 2013. Her sculpture “The Roots of Tuckahoe Marble” can be seen at Clumber Corner in DUMBO until May 16.
