The body of a man believed to be missing British musician Jonathan Pickford has been reportedly found by police.
Local media say the singer and guitarist’s body was discovered on a river near where his abandoned van and two dogs were located earlier this week.
The Jersey-born expat has been missing since August 30 after eating with friends at an inland restaurant from his home in the resort of Torre del Mar, on the Costa del Sol.
A police search, along with social media calls from his family and friends for information, was launched after it was found he was missing.
There is still no official confirmation from the Guardia Civil that the police are said to have located the body.

Local journalist Jesus Navarro, who broke the news of the British man’s disappearance after it was reported on social media, confirmed on Twitter: “The body of Jonathan Pickford, or Pix as he was known to friends, was found next to the river in the search area in. found the municipality of Almogia.
“He disappeared a few days ago.”
An expat who started the social media campaign for information about Jonathan’s disappearance has not yet made a formal comment on Facebook.
Your last post simply said, “Please keep looking. Some people have suggested that Pix was in trouble and ran away. This is 100 percent not the case.
“I think he went to the airport to meet a friend he knew would be arriving.
“The friend had made other arrangements to be picked up, but Pix might want to be there too.”
The police search for Mr. Pickford, whose Jersey-based group “A Band Called O” was championed by legendary radio host and DJ John Peel, began shortly after he disappeared after leaving a restaurant between the inland villages of Alcaucin and La Vinuela Night of August 29th to go to his home.
His white Citreon Berlingo van with Spanish coating was found in an area called Los Moras, a 40-minute drive northwest of Malaga.
His surviving dog was found next to the vehicle believed to have been abandoned after an accident, near the other animal’s body.
A passing motorist reportedly helped Jonathan, known by his nickname Pix, after getting into trouble after a first traffic accident that evening before parking his van in a ditch on the side of the road.
The musician was wearing jeans and a black t-shirt with a Jack Daniels logo on it when he went missing.
Several police forces have been mobilized to help find him, although no official comment has yet been made.
A band called O with Jonathan on guitar and vocals has its own Wikipedia page.
It was founded around 1970 in Jersey as “The Parlor Band”. Under their original name, the band released an album in 1972 called “Is a friend?”
After moving from Jersey to Leicester, they changed their name to “A Band Called O” and recorded the first of four peel sessions on September 24, 1974. They later shortened their name to simply “The O Band” before disbanding in late 1977.
Pix Pickford had a brief solo career, releasing two singles: “Long Drop” and “Are You Rockin ‘” before moving to Spain to play on “Racket”.
