Boris Johnson 'married in secret ceremony' to Carrie Symonds this afternoon

Prime Minister Boris Johnson reportedly married his fiancée Carrie Symonds in a secret ceremony this afternoon.

The 56-year-old is said to have exchanged her vows with Mrs. Symonds (33) in Westminster Cathedral.

According to several reports, only a handful of close friends and family members are said to have attended.

It was believed that 30 guests were invited to the ceremony at the last minute to keep it a secret.

It was reported that staff said the church would be “locked down” and asked visitors to leave around 1:30 pm.

Staff confirmed to The Sun that the lockdown was a trigger for the wedding.

One employee said, “Carrie looked beautiful. She had a long white dress with no veil. She looked made up.

“He was very happy, as you can imagine, he looked very smart and was wearing a very elegant suit.

“She was coming down the hall and he wasn’t taking his eyes off him.

“They read each other’s vows and then shared a kiss. They looked possessed.”

The couple’s one year old son, Wilfred, was there today to see the happy occasion.

Downing Street did not confirm the event.
