Boy 'said "Daddy I'm sorry" as father strangled him to death while mum was out'

A young boy said “Dad, I’m sorry too” when his father strangled him to death, police say.

Ismail Kilincer, 32, told police he murdered 10-year-old Huseyin in order to “send him to heaven while he was still sinless” during the terrible incident in Turkey.

The father reportedly felt guilty about his own lifestyle and wanted to keep his son from being tempted.

He told officials that he had decided to kill the child, “a pure soul who never did anything wrong,” before he could “grow up like me”.

The shocking murder took place around 7 p.m. on Monday in Karatay.

Ismail told authorities he sent Ms. Rabia, 31, to the stores before carrying out the horror attack, sitting on his son’s legs and strangling him.

He reportedly hugged and kissed the boy before committing the murder.

“Before the incident, I purposely sent my wife to the market,” he told police.

“I told my son that I was going to kill him. I apologized to my son and hugged and kissed him.”

Ismail, who works as a construction manager, then called the police to say he had “killed someone” and they ran to the scene but found the boy dead on his arrival.

“I didn’t want my son to be tempted growing up and becoming what I was.

“I wanted to send him to heaven while he was still without sin.”
