Chad Wolf steps down from DHS

Acting Minister of Homeland Security, Chad Wolf, is stepping down, two DHS officials confirmed to POLITICO on Monday.

Wolf’s move follows a crowd of Trump supporters attacking the Capitol last week, killing five people. Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao and Minister of Education Betsy DeVos also resigned after the attack on the Capitol.

Wolf has headed DHS as an actor since November 2019.
