Clubcard and warning over Tesco credit cards used via Apple Pay

Buyers using Tesco credit cards through Apple Pay are warned that they may be missing out on Clubcard rewards points and discounts

Normally, Tesco credit card users automatically receive points or discounts without having to scan their Clubcard.

However, Apple Pay is not automatically included, reports The Times.

Tesco said, “For information on Apple Pay, please see the Welcome Brochure, our website and online community pages.

“If a customer does not receive his full point and discount allocation, we can correct this.”

With the Tesco Clubcard, shoppers can access a range of in-store savings, collect points and vouchers, and enjoy other rewards.

Customers receive one Clubcard point for every £ 4 spent on Tesco – and buyers using a Tesco credit card receive a bonus of five points for every £ 4 spent.

The purchase of 150 Clubcard points generates a voucher worth £ 1.50 that you can redeem in Tesco or exchange for cinema and restaurant vouchers or airline miles.
