Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Showcase All of the Content We Will See During Season 2, scheduled for February 25 at no additional cost for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC. Multiplayer, Zombies and Battle Royale will receive a huge battery of additions during this frame.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War | 6 new weapons, game modes, maps and more
As we mentioned during the Season 2 showcase, this content will take us straight to the jungles of Laos, where the main group (led by Frank Woods) will search for clues to Adler’s whereabouts. In the middle of the quest, they encounter Naga, Stitch’s henchman who is part of the Perseus cell. The agent behind the scarf and sunglasses is one of four Operators to land in the game, accompanied by Maxis, Rivas and Wolf; the latter two as part of the seasonal fortifications.
Six new weapons will fuel the Cold War arsenal. The first of these is the Fara 83, an automatic assault rifle that inevitably recalls the mythical Galil. On the other hand, the next launch weapon is the LC10 submachine gun, which aims to occupy the hole for close and close firefights. You unlock both weapons by reaching level 15 and 31 of the battle pass respectively; Remember that they are part of the free route: no need to purchase to get them.
The rest of the weapons are split between melee and ballistics, which will arrive throughout the season. You can kill your enemies with a machete and folding shovel. Later, the R1 Shadowhunter, which doubles as a traditional crossbow, will make its debut. Finally, we find the ZRG 20 mm, a sniper rifle “with the highest bullet speed and reload in its class.” Although not all are virtues, the cadence will be very slow. These four weapons are unlocked by completing challenges or by purchasing a bundle containing them from the in-game store.
Focusing on the maps, there are four available playable areas. At launch we will only see Apocalypse designed for the classic 6vs6 modes; It will take us deep into the jungle of Laos in a mix of temples, forests and administrative buildings. The remaining three will take a little longer to debut: two for the showdown mode (Mansion and Golova) and another for the casual competitive, Miami Strike.
