The red travel list will be reduced to just seven destinations from Monday – Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Haiti, Panama, Peru and Venezuela – said the Ministry of Transport.
47 countries will be removed from the red list starting at 4 a.m. on Monday, making it easier for more people to travel abroad to a larger number of countries. Passengers returning to England from these destinations no longer need to go to hotel quarantine.
The government will also expand the entry system for vaccinated arrivals to an additional 37 countries and territories around the world, including India, South Africa and Turkey.
And it said passengers will be able to send a picture of their lateral flow test as a minimum requirement to check the accuracy of the test results and keep prices down once two tests switch to lateral flow later this month followed by a free PCR test if positive.
