The governor’s remarks came to Axios reported Sunday that Cuomo is being promoted to serve as Biden’s attorney general and that Biden is open to considering him for the job.
Biden and Cuomo have long been friends and political allies. The governor endorsed the former vice president at the start of the 2020 democratic primary.
Cuomo’s name was mentioned for other roles in a Biden administration last year. including White House Chief of Staff.
The Governor of New York was former Secretary for Housing and Urban Development to President Bill Clinton from 1997 to 2001. He previously indicated that he would not be willing to work in any other high-level administrative post.
