A man in his mid-50s looks so young that he can be mistaken for his stepdaughter’s boyfriend when he’s out with his family.

People say Edson Brandao, 54, looks like he is in his 20s – and could easily be half his age.

The influencer, personal coach and author from Groningen in the Netherlands emphasized that he has never had plastic surgery.

In fact, he insists that his looks can only be attributed to his positive attitude, exercise, good diet, and skin care.

Edson developed a complex about how he looked compared to his slim and handsome friends and decided to completely change his life. He says he looks so young because of the choices he made three decades ago.

But it can get tricky – he’s often mistaken for his stepdaughter’s friend when he’s out with his family.

“When I go to parties with our kids, everyone thinks I’m my stepdaughter’s boyfriend, which is embarrassing for everyone,” says Edson.

“I am the oldest of my brothers, the others are 52, 28 and 27 years old, at family gatherings people ask my father if I am the youngest son.

“Once while traveling, I was tagged by the police in Switzerland because they did not believe that I was forty at the time.

“They took my passport and checked it, they were surprised that the passport was mine and not a fake. The police asked me what I did to look so young.”

Edson has no secret to his youthful looks, he lives a healthy lifestyle and does not smoke or use drugs.

“My diet is not really a diet. My secret is that I don’t actually have a specific diet, but a nutrition plan for life!” says Edson.

“That makes the difference. I eat everything in moderation, but I prefer healthier foods.

“My diet consists of a good selection of vegetables, fruits, grains, whole grains, fish and all kinds of vegetable protein, if they are even better organic.

“I do 40 minutes of aerobics and 60 minutes of weight training, and meditate twice a week to reduce stress and improve my wellbeing.

“I eat between 2,000 and 2,500 calories a day to keep my weight off.”
