David Jenkins tragically died at the age of 31 when tributes were flooded.
Tom Daley’s ex-diving coach, who was an integral part of Team GB at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Japan this summer, were recognized.
British Swimming wrote: “David’s love of coaching and sport led him to play an important role in the Tom Daley Diving Academy, teaching scuba diving courses to thousands of children across the country.

“He was extremely popular with everyone in the diving community because of his wonderful, friendly personality.
“Being a former gymnast and diver himself, David had a bright future ahead of him.
“And he will be very much missed by everyone he has worked with at British Diving and GLL.”
Jane Nickerson, Chief Executive of Swim England said: “Everyone at Swim England is deeply saddened to hear of David’s death.
