Pizza giant Domino’s has announced that it will hire more than 8,000 drivers across the UK and Ireland as part of its preparations for the busy Christmas season.
It comes as the takeaway company informs its shareholders of its trading for the past three months.
The company said it sold seven pizzas per minute over the three months, with online orders peaking at 13 per second on July 3 when England faced Ukraine in the European Football Championship.
Domino’s said it is starting its recruiting drive now as it expects demand to continue to pick up later in the year.
Nicola Frampton, Operations Director at Domino’s Pizza Group, said, “Although 2021 has been a busy year for us, our busiest time is still around the corner.
“Our delivery drivers are critical to the service we provide to our customers and the success of our business, so we love to hear from those who want to join the Domino team.
“As the majority of the jobs currently available are permanent, this is a great time to get started.
“There are suitable roles for everyone – regardless of whether you are looking for a few extra hours or a completely new career path.
“In return, we offer competitive pay and the chance to be part of a winning team.”
