Drivers warned over change to insurance rules from April 30

Drivers are warned that they have a week to speak to their insurer to make sure their coverage meets their needs before the rules change in late April.

GoCompare Car Insurance’s warning follows an announcement by the Association of British Insurers (ABI) on April 20, 2021 that temporary measures to assist motorists during the pandemic will end on April 30.

Drivers whose car insurance does not currently include coverage for commuting and who drive to work in their own car will need to contact their insurer to update their coverage accordingly.
