Airline Emirates has announced plans to operate a number of new services connecting the UK to Dubai. The demand for travel is expected to increase as coronavirus restrictions are relaxed.
The popular A380 will fly four times a day to London Heathrow from November 27th and six times a week to Manchester from December 2nd.
Emirates will increase its flights to Birmingham and Glasgow from the current four weekly flights to daily flights in both cities from November 27th and December 1st respectively.
Emirates’ connections to Manchester will be increased from the current eight weekly flights to ten flights per week as of December 1, of which six will be served by an Emirates A380 and four by a Boeing 777-300ER.
At London Heathrow, Emirates’ current twice-daily A380 and once-daily Boeing 777 flights will become four daily A380 flights from November 27th.
The announcement represents a significant expansion of Emirates’ services to the UK following the recent establishment of the air travel corridor between the UK and the United Arab Emirates, which has generated increased demand.
In the other direction, UK travelers traveling to Dubai can have their Covid-19 PCR tests done 96 hours before their flight or upon arrival in Dubai, which makes travel easier.
The Dubai-based airline has also announced that it will offer additional A380 flights from the current two weekly flights to Moscow from November 25th.
