A family is heartbroken after their dog was stolen from their utility room overnight.
Robert Johnston, from Cloughey, in Northern Ireland, and his family have issued an urgent appeal to overheat their Labradoodle Golda.
He explained: “Golda is sterilized and it is no use to anyone if they think about breeding her. She is our family dog, she is family, we need her back.”
Robert came downstairs at 6am on Tuesday morning to let Golda into the garden only to find her missing.
He said, “Our garden is fenced and the gate was closed and she couldn’t have come out by herself. And when she is outside, she barks to come back in.”
“We didn’t hear anything last night. There were four of us in the house and neither of us heard anything. The door to the utility room was opened, Golda was taken and nothing else was taken. It seems to have been on purpose.
“I still can not believe it. I opened the door to the utility room and she wasn’t there – for the first time in five years our routine was the same, but today it was different.
“I thought she might have gone upstairs to my daughter’s room and checked with her, but no, nothing.
“We scoured the house and garden, I drove around. I asked everyone I know to come up on social media to help us. The police were here this morning calling neighbors and look for “also. They know it’s serious, we missed a family member. Golda is our dog, Golda is family. “
Robert, the fish seller, is on the Ards Peninsula, and says that Golda is also known and loved in the area.
He said, “She’s such a friendly dog, everyone with a dog knows Golda and most people without a dog know her too. She’s such a loving character. We need her back. We’d say who got her or who took her . ” Please take them to a safe place and let us know where we can pick them up.
“Golda cannot have puppies so she is of no use to breeders. She has very distinctive traits that are easy to spot. Someone has taken her for their own benefit, but it won’t work so better just keep her.” to get to safety and get someone to send me a message. “
Golda is the size of a small Labrador with recently trimmed, distinctive, thick, curly gray fur with a large white breastplate, three white legs, one gray, and her eyes are dark amber. Golda is chipped and wore a red collar when she was kidnapped.
