Fans reacted after Seahorse revealed their identity after leaving the Masked Singer.
On Saturday’s show, Spice Girl Mel B was fired from the show after her version of Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out of My Mind” was.
Initially, fan theories suggested the seahorse was everyone, including Katie Price, Michaela Strachan, Coleen Nolan, and Helen Skelton, after the sea animals described themselves as magical and unique looking.
But Judges Rita Ora, Davina McCall, and Mo Gilligan guessed right after pulling clues from their distinctive accent.
Mel revealed herself and described the competition as a great show. She added, “You can’t be yourself for a second.”
But her departure left fans in disbelief when she suddenly walked off the show.
Twitter user Keven Law said, “How the hell can you save the grandfather clock over the legendary Mel B from @spicegirls FFS?”
Another Twitter used a joke: “Vicious Sophie Ellis-Bextor last week and now Mel B !! get rid of all the icons of vicious behavior that writes to Ofcom.”
And another said: “Mel B sent home this week, Sophie Ellis Bextor last week! The rest of them #maskedsinger better be great! ”
And another Twitter user agreed: “Mel B is an ICON, why is she out?”
After the second episode of the season, the theories about the remaining contestants are in full swing.
In addition to Seahorse, the ITV show featured performances by Grandfather Clock, Bush Baby, Harlequin, Blob and Viking.
In particular, Bush Baby’s Australian accent made fans suspect it might be Australian pop star Peter Andre, while some have suggested Jason Donovan and either Ant or Dec to host Geordie presenters I’m A Celeb Down Under.
Others believe it’s rapper KSI or a kid’s TV host or someone from Countdown, based on the numbers and letters on the front of the costume.
In a new teaser clip, Grandfather Clock says, “Will you guess who I am?” But some fans believe the clue lies in the way the voice was disguised.
Some think the voice has a “Doctor Who vibe” to it, with the suggestion that it could be former Time Lord Tom Baker, who at 86 could fit the theme of the character’s grandfather.
He discussed “time is running out” and said he was counting every minute – and “who knows if you might need extra time”.
Viewers suspected Chris Kamara, John Barnes, Michael Owen, Vinny Jones, Larry Lamb, Ian Wright and David James.
Jonathan suspected David Seaman and Bradley Walsh, Rita suspected Des Lineham.
Mo guessed Frank Skinner and David James, and Davina guessed Les Ferdinand.
Meanwhile, some think the Viking could be Love Island spokesperson Iain Stirling just because he’s Scottish.
Viking pronounced his name with an emphasis on the “King” and said he was very curious, an explorer who had found his own way and was looking for a voice.
Viewers’ guesses included Si King, Brian Cox, Aled Jones and Gareth Malone.
Noel Edmonds was suggested as the most likely contender for the blob following today’s episode.
This theory was developed based on the fact that Noel was starring alongside Mr. Blobby on his Saturday night variety show, Noel’s House Party.
But based on the “eyes and teeth”, other viewers believe it’s comedian Alan Carr.
