Fighting talk on The Chase as Shaun Wallace bites back from insult

In the chase tonight, there was a bit of an argument between Chaser Shaun Wallace and a candidate.

Shaun proved that Candidate Ellen’s comment did not phase him because she rarely wanted to look at him.

Ellen was joined by Kevin, Josh, and Neha on tonight’s show (Jan. 26) in hopes of winning as much money as possible.

First up was Ellen, a housing clerk from Worthing, the Liverpool Echo reports.

She said, “I’m part of a Shakespearean actors theater company. The last drama we did was A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

After securing £ 4,000 in the Cash Builder, it was time for Ellen to face The Chaser.

When host Bradley Walsh listed the pursuers – and, as usual, added his own sarcastic comments, he asked Ellen who she would like to take over.

She replied, “I think Shaun. Where his gaps are, I might have some knowledge.”

Bradley was stunned by the comment – and so were the fans.

Andi tweeted: “There must be pretty big gaps!” Thomas said, “Yeah !! It’s Shaun and his gaps,” followed by emojis with screaming laughter.

Pan joked, “I’d love to take on Shaun because he’s the fattest …”

And Joanne said: “Amazed.” When Shaun showed up, Bradley told him what Ellen had said.

Unimpressed, Shaun responded when exposed as a chaser for this episode, saying, “I heard it.

“Forget the midsummer night’s dream, you will have a late afternoon nightmare.”

  • The Chase returns to ITV at 5pm on weekdays.
