Five products being urgently recalled by Tesco, Lidl, Morrisons, M&S and Waitrose over safety fears

A number of items are urgently being recalled from major supermarkets such as Lidl, M&S, Tesco, Morrisons and Waitrose.

Affected items can be returned in-store for a refund after the Food Standards Agency (FSA) warns customers about a wide variety of goods, including ice cream and sausage rolls – as originally reported by KentLive.

The five items that are being recalled by the major supermarkets are listed below.

M&S cocktail sausage rolls

Package size: 296g

Use until: January 10, 2022

The M&S sausage rolls were recalled because of incorrect labeling.

A number of packs have been issued with a “use by date” of January 10, 2022.

It may be unsafe to eat because of the wrong date.

Point of sale notices will be displayed in all stores that sell this product.

The FSA’s advice is not to eat the items when you buy them.

The store said in a statement: “We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience this has caused.

“For more information, please contact us on 0333 014 855.”

Waitrose fish pie

This means that the product presents a potential health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.

Waitrose will recall the product from customers and will contact the relevant allergy support organization.

They will then notify their members of the recall.

Waitrose said in a statement: “We apologize for the recall of this product and the inconvenience caused.”

If someone has bought this item, they are advised not to eat it and instead return it to the store.

No other deluxe items are affected by this recall.

Lidl said in a statement: “Lidl would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused.
