Samsung has today, January 13, started to release a new update for the owners of the Galaxy A50 in Brazil. From now on, device users can download the update that One UI 2.5 brings to their devices.
This version of the South Korean giant’s custom UI will be available to the company’s middlemen who are still based on Android 10, so the improvements that come with the new update will be made available directly by Samsung.
The update has three different build numbers, namely A505GTUBU5BTL1, A505TOWO5BL1 and A505GDXU5BTL1, and weighs approximately 1,123 MB. In addition to the improvements powered by One UI 3.0, users of the Galaxy A50 line are also starting to receive the updated Google security patch for December 2021.
When releasing the update for One UI 2.5, the Asian company is asking its users to also update the Samsung Pass application to avoid conflicts after the update. To do this, go to the device settings, go to Biometrics and security and tap Samsung Pass.
It is important to note that software updates are released in stages, so not all Galaxy A50 units in Brazil will be upgraded to One UI 2.5 at the same time. To confirm that your device has already received the update, open the System Settings, navigate to Software Updates and select the Download and Install option.
Please note that the Galaxy A50 has been included in Samsung’s list of possible updatables for Android 11 and should receive the update from April this year.
