Galaxy Z Fold 3: It’s on the agenda with the patent it got for use in Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 fashion model. The company will implement the patent until the phone launches.
Samsung, which has made serious strides in foldable phones lately, has been working hard on the long-awaited new Galaxy Z Fold 3. As the smartphone launch date approaches, new features will continue to appear.
Samsung is constantly getting new patents for the technology it uses in the Galaxy Z Fold 3 to the next level. LetsGoDigital then discovered a very interesting patent file that Samsung received for a device that claimed to be it Galaxy Z Fold 3.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 may not have physical keys
Undoubtedly, there are patents that companies have received after the development of the technologies used in smartphones. In-screen fingerprint readers and foldable phones are just a few of the patents that have been brought to life. Therefore, we can say that smartphone manufacturers attach serious importance to these patent applications.
The patent file published by LetsGoDigital contains a smartphone that allegedly is Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. The patent image no longer includes physical buttons that have been used on smartphones for years. Instead, the buttons on the side of the smartphone are used.
Looking at the published patent image, as opposed to physical buttons, there has been a serious increase in the number of embedded buttons. There are four built-in buttons on each side of the smartphone, and when the device is folded, it has the function to participate.
Unlike physical keys, these buttons detect finger movements and successfully perform their functions such as touch, pinch and scroll. If users wish, they also have the option to assign different functions to these buttons.
Apart from that, we have to say that Samsung acquired this patent at the end of 2020. For now, however, it is hard to say that this technology will come to life with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 fashion model. Hence, it would be healthier to wait for the company’s official announcement.
