A gang of teenagers reportedly beat an adorable dog to death with a rod before running away laughing.
Patricia Pendergast was woken up mid-Tuesday evening when four young men laughed out loud in her front yard in Queensland, Australia.
She quickly went outside to do some research, claiming she found four teenagers between the ages of 14 and 16, but they were walking across the street into a park.
Patricia said she then found Mim, her Foxy Jack Russell, lifeless on the floor between two containers.
“She was already dead,” she told the courier post.
“One carried a large pole,” wrote Riverview Neighborhood Watch Daily mail.
“They were seen laughing as they ran away. When the victim returned to her yard (after a brief chase), she found that her dog had been beaten to death.
“She had head injuries that resulted in multiple blows on a pole, and she suffered a very violent and painful death.”
Patricia described her pet as a loyal companion who loved everyone.
She said all it wanted to do was play and would never growl at anyone.
The community was upset by the news and described the alleged attack as “disgusting”.
The police are investigating.
