A hiker has warned about a group of teenagers who are coughing at people and claiming they have coronavirus.
A person in Ireland warned residents in their neighborhood after they were attacked by a gang led by a girl.
They claimed the teenagers coughed while shouting “I have corona”.
The gang of five of four boys and a girl hung around in the Newcastle neighborhood as they aimed at the lone wanderer, reports Dublin Live.
One of the teenagers began to cough loudly before berating the hiker for having the virus.
A neighborhood watch alert was distributed describing the incident as “conduct related”.
The text read: “A local was walking on Newcastle Boulevard when he saw a group of 5 teenagers – 4 boys and 1 girl.
“The person crossed the street to ensure social distancing. One of the teenagers started coughing loudly and the person turned and looked at them when they were being verbally abused, followed by screaming that they had coronavirus.
It ends: “The big spike lately is about the behavior of everyone you may meet.”
The death toll in Covid-19 in Ireland is 2,344 with 147,613 cases.
Dublin has been a consistent hotspot for Covid-19 infection rates.
A total of 6,888 new cases were registered in Ireland on Sunday.
The country is in a level 5 lockdown for at least the next month.
