Govt bans export of sanitisers, ventilators with immediate effect

On Tuesday, the government banned the export of all disinfectants and ventilators with immediate effect following the coronavirus epidemic.

“The export of all disinfectants … is prohibited, with immediate effect,” said the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) in a notification.

It also banned exports of all types of ventilators, including any artificial respiratory or oxygen therapy device or any other respiratory device or device.

Last week, he banned the export of certain respirators, surgical and disposable masks and textile raw materials used to make the masks.

There is a shortage of hand sanitizers and masks on the market in the midst of the coronavirus epidemic as people resort to panic.
