Piers Morgan has called the Duke of Sussex a “spineless, self-pitying fool” after the prince criticized US free speech laws.
In a recent podcast interview with actor Dax Shephard, Harry described the First Amendment as “Bonkers”.
“I have as much to say about the First Amendment as I somehow understand it – but it’s insane.” said Harry.
“I don’t want to go down the First Amendment path because it’s a big issue and one I don’t understand because I’ve only been here for a short time, but you can find a loophole in everything.
“You can capitalize on what is not said or take advantage of what is not said instead of maintaining what is said.”
Write for the mail onlineOutspoken former GMB host Piers said the First Amendment “is one of the things I admire most about the United States, especially in a country like Britain, where freedom of speech is now heavily regulated for journalists like me.”
Piers said it “takes an extraordinary amount of legitimate arrogance to mock the most revered building block in your adopted country’s history”.
“I didn’t think Harry could go any deeper than destroying his grandmother as she mourns Prince Philip, but the Twerp’s spineless, self-pitying attack on freedom of speech makes HIM look crazy like the US Constitution,” Piers said.
Piers described Harry and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex as “ruthless, heartless, selfish, shameless little grifters” and also slapped the Duke for a “shameful new attack on his family”.
Harry had spoken of breaking the cycle of “genetic pain” which he claimed he and other members of his family might have suffered from being royals.
“Harry has gone from being a brave war hero to a spineless, tearful crying baby who blames his family for all of his alleged ailments, and who, like his wife, shamelessly and cynically arms issues such as mental health and racism to silence critics “wrote Piers.
“Neither he nor Meghan show an ounce of the compassion they like to preach to those closest to them.”
Piers’ Savaging of the Sussexes comes on the day an official trailer for Harry and Oprah Winfrey’s documentary series on mental health was released.
