Apple released a new wave of upgrades for the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and mac . According to Apple’s official announcement on its security upgrades page, this vulnerability leaves vulnerable devices in PDFs containing malicious content, capable of executing arbitrary code.
The Citizen Lab has disclosed the vulnerability and code to Apple, which has assigned the FORCEDENTRY vulnerability CVE-2021-30860 and describes the vulnerability as “processing a maliciously crafted PDF may lead to arbitrary code execution.”
