India’s Boxer Nikhat Zarin Defeated The Two-Time World Champion To Reach The Semi-Finals Of The Ongoing Tournament In Turkey

In Istanbul, the young female boxer Nikhat Zarin of India has reached the semi-finals of the ongoing Bosphorus Boxing Tournament. In the quarter-final, 24-year-old Nikhat beat two-time world champion Nazim Kajibe of Kazakhstan in the 51 kg weight class before beating 2019 world champion Paltseva Ekaterina of Russia in the pre-quarter final.

Nikhat defeated Kazakh rival Nazim 4-1 in the quarterfinals. Nazim won the gold medal at the 2014 and 2016 World Championships. With this victory, the Indian boxer has at least confirmed the bronze medal in the tournament.
