Stranger Things season 3 ended in the summer of 2019 and was a huge hit. Netflix immediately restored the series for Season 4 and released the news a few months later. Since then, fans have been waiting – rather impatiently, I might add – for Stranger Things season 4.
Well, it’s been nearly two decades since we’ve watched the season, and there’s still no sign that Stranger Things season 4 is coming to Netflix anytime soon.
What gives? Where’s Stranger Things Season 4? When is your Stranger Things season 4 release date?
Is Stranger Things season 4 on Netflix?
Sadly no, but that’s the only bad news about Stranger Things you’ll find here!
Stranger Things season 4 is still in the works. It has been verified and not canceled or anything like that.
This week David Harbor shared a video of his trailer on the set of Season 4. The cast and crew are working hard on the new season, so why is it taking so long?
As you may have discovered from Netflix’s new releases, there aren’t too many renowned exhibits returning for new seasons in the first, actually half of 2021, and that’s simply because production has been delayed for so long. The pandemic caused production stops all over the world.
From the affected shows, Stranger Things got hit quite hard. Season 4’s generation started in early 2020 with some of their cast, crew and creative team heading to Lithuania. They came back and started filming Season 4 in Atlanta in February or March 2020. Then production stopped in mid-March and stayed like that until, like Fall 2020. We can’t say exactly when it officially went, but it looks like it was late September or early October that some of the cast and crew went back to work.
So that’s the main reason Stranger Things Season 4 isn’t on Netflix. The work and the pandemic hiatus threw a significant wrench into gear. And things just haven’t been the same ever since. There are restrictions on the number of people who can be close together in scenes and away from the camera. There is regular testing on the crew and cast for your virus.
Gaten Matarazzo, who stars as Dustin, recently told fans that things are slowing down. That filming was significantly different with an uncertain schedule.
Caleb McLaughlin, who stars as Lucas, recently told Teen Vogue that scenes are filmed in sequence because they can’t film scenes with extras or large groups.
“Everything is backwards thanks to Covid. If there is a scene with extras, we cannot film with everyone at the moment. We just need to film scenes where there are fewer individuals, so we need to start with a later episode. We don’t start at episode one, we start at episode five. “
In other words, it is possible to blame the pandemic for why Stranger Things season 4 is not on Netflix. And because things have been delayed for so long, it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing Stranger Things Season 4 long before the end of 2021, if at all this year.
