Football fans have slammed online gamer ITV Hub after service issues resulted in missing parts of a match at the European Championships.
The online portal, which is home to ITV Player, ITV on Demand and Live TV, showed the France vs Switzerland game in Bucharest tonight (Monday) when viewers went online to complain about poor service.
website Down detector showed a massive spike in reports of poor service after 8pm after showing the picture of Swiss player Ricardo Rodriguez taking a corner for more than 10 minutes in the fourth minute of the game.
Many missed the shock hit by the Swiss Haris Seferović in the 15th minute.
Problems started early for Nick Statham, who tweeted: “ITV Hub decided I couldn’t get past this Swiss corner in the fourth minute. FML.”
Gio shared similar issues and tweeted, “This game is so exciting that I can watch this corner on the ITV hub for 10 minutes in a row.
According to Matthew Nicol, the ITV hub is “absolutely bad,” he wrote in his tweet: “I’ve seen Ricardo Rodriguez 4 times now in this shitty corner, mess.”
Big Green Bookshop seemed to be speaking for everyone when he tweeted: “I’m watching the France vs Switzerland game on ITV-Hub, it’s still 0-0 and I’ve been waiting for that corner to be taken for 18 minutes Yellow card for wasting time.
“That’s a whole other level of awful Clive.”
The funniest tweet has to be from Sean McLoughlin: “ITV Hub is running so slowly that they just showed Rooney’s 2004 goal against Croatia.”
ITV Hub’s official Twitter account had no updates, but they hope the service will be better for the first episode of the new Love Island series at 9 p.m.
- The Euro Championships will be shown on BBC One and ITV until Sunday 11 July
