Jack Grealish shaves off signature long hair – and fans are devastated

Former Aston Villa star Jack Grealish has caused an uproar on social media – by shaving off his signature long hair.

The Manchester City player shared a picture of himself in a barber chair, chopping off his locks, on his Instagram page.

Grealish, 26, visited A Star Barbers in Manchester, where he sat in a chair and a barber brought clippers to his tresses.

But fans of the heartthrob footballer were absolutely distraught by the news and took to social media to complain.

One distraught fan reacted to the video of Jack’s new look, writing: “No they ruined it!”

Another criticized the barber’s work, writing: “Brother what has he done to him man.”

A third distraught fan commented, “Where his hair went” alongside crying face emojis.

While another branded the new look: “The worst haircut in history” – and other fans used “more colourful” language to offer their opinion on the footballer’s new look.

However, there were some fans among the commenters – with a caption: “Looking sharp squire” alongside some applauding hand emojis.

Jack, who used to sport long curtain-style hair, previously gushed about his appreciation for a hair product called Moroccanoil – which costs £32.85 a bottle.

The star garnered attention during last summer’s Eurocup 2020 games when many fans were drawn to his long hair, which he often let out of sight on the pitch thanks to a loyal Alice bond.

He shared some of the secrets to his haircare routine last July, explaining that he ends up using three different products – including Moroccanoil’s Treatment Original, which costs £32.85 at LookFantastic.

He said during a podcast that he starts his routine with “a little shampoo and conditioner,” after which he leaves the conditioner in for “a few minutes.”
