Jet2 announces hundreds of new jobs at latest UK airport base

Hundreds of jobs will be created when the airline and tour operator Jet2 open their 10th operating base at the UK airport. and Jet2holidays, already operating out of Birmingham, offer flights and vacations from Bristol Airport to 33 summer destinations and 11 winter resorts in Europe, the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean.

A fleet of three aircraft will fly customers to a variety of destinations in mainland Spain, the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Portugal and Madeira.

Up to 56 flights a week depart from the airport in summer.

With the airline’s first flight to Lanzarote on April 1, around 450,000 seats will be offered for sale.

The announcement demonstrates the company’s long-term ambition to become the UK’s leading leisure travel company.

This also means significant investments for the region as new functions are available for flight and cabin crew, engineers and ground crew.
