The internet is abuzz with rumors of new couple Kanye West and Julia Fox after the two were spotted on back-to-back dates just a few days into the new year. Most recently, on Tuesday night, the rapper and actor went to watch play slave on Broadway and then went to dinner at Carbone, leading to more chatter about whether the duo were dating. I was also curious, but not so much about their relationship status – I was more fascinated by Julia’s favorite evening outfit, which consisted of lots of Balenciaga and low-cut pants.
The Uncut Gemstones actor was photographed walking with Ye from head to toe in black, including a Fitted top with short sleeves and high neck, leather trench coat and crocodile-print wallet, all from Balenciaga, of course. It goes without saying that Kanye has heavily influenced Kim Kardashian’s fashion over the years, and it seems Julia is already tweaking her style as well. While she first wore a striped blue velvet coat to the show, she swapped it for the jet black number for dinner.
The most captivating thing about Julia’s outfit was her pants from Miaou, which she tucked into heeled boots. They are apparently called “thong pants” – low pants with cutouts and straps at the hips to look like a visible thong. I’ve said it before, but I believe the crop trend has gone too far with pants, although I can certainly admit that the actor is making it work.
