Princess Anne had “serious concerns” about Meghan Markle, according to claims made by royal writer Lady Colin Campbell.
Former “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here” star who is a royal biographer ventilated her mind about the royal saga in a 38-minute video posted on YouTube.
In the video, she claims that the Princess Royal considered the Duchess of Sussex “unsuitable”, BirminghamLive reports.
Lady C claimed, “Princess Anne was the champion on ‘don’t marry the girl, she is unsuitable’.
“‘She’s wrong for us, she’s wrong for the country, she’s wrong for the job’. Well it turned out to be true.
Lady C also claimed that Anne – the Queen’s second child and only daughter – thought Meghan was “obviously attention-grabbing”.
“Because she couldn’t take Meghan’s constant, ‘uh, uh, me, me, me, me’.”
Lady C also addressed Meghan and her husband Prince Harry’s bomb claims during the interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made claims about racism within the royal family, Harry’s broken relationship with his father, and Meghan’s suicidal thoughts.
The extraordinary two hour interview with chat show host Oprah Winfrey aired last month. The couple also shared clips of their new California life with son Archie walking the beach, revealing that their second child to be born this summer is a girl.
There was a lot of support for the couple after the show aired, but Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan said, “I’m sick of what I had to see. It’s a 2-hour trash-athon of everything the Queen worked so hard while her husband was in the hospital. “
