Latest updates with TUI, Ryanair, BA, easyJet, Jet2 and more as last bank holiday of 2021 approaches

A number of airlines have released updates as the last bank holiday of the year approaches.

Fully vaccinated Brits can travel abroad to green list and now yellow list countries without having to isolate themselves on their return to the UK.

The government’s traffic light system, which categorizes countries as Green, Amber, Amber Plus or Red based on their safety, is constantly updated as the world tracks the spread of the coronavirus.

The lockdown has now eased here in the UK and many vacationers can now enjoy international travel.

However, some countries, airlines and tour operators still operate by strict rules, even if passengers have both received vaccinations against Covid.

France has been removed from the UK’s amber-plus list – meaning passengers under 18 and fully vaccinated returning to the UK will now have to self-isolate for 10 days longer.

The green list, which does not contain a quarantine rule for returning passengers, has also been updated. The full list of green, yellow, yellow plus and red travel destinations can be found on the government website here.

Most travelers will still need PCR or lateral flow tests, which indicate a negative result prior to boarding their flights and cannot take advantage of the free NHS tests.

A number of airlines only accept bookings up to a certain date and to certain countries, all with the promise of protection from coronavirus cancellations and the option to change holidays or receive a full refund.

We’ve put together a handy guide below that includes various airline rules and updates – scroll down to find out more
