Prime Minister Boris Johnson will keep the nation updated on coronavirus at the final press conference on Downing Street tonight.
The conference, slated to begin at 5 p.m., is the latest opportunity for people to see the state of play in the fight against the virus.
It comes a day after Downing Street said it could not be ruled out that lockdowns might be in place until the summer.
Even the Prime Minister could not rule this out in a survey.
All parts of the UK are on lockdown and while there are signs that the infection rate is being brought under control, some scientists have suggested that current measures are not working well enough to keep the numbers down.
It was revealed today that an additional 1,401 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 on Friday, bringing the total to 95,981 in the UK.
Separate figures released by the UK statistical authorities for deaths where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate, as well as additional data on deaths that have occurred in the past few days, show that there are now 112,000 deaths with Covid-19 in the UK 19 gave.
The government also said there had been an additional 40,261 laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK as of 9 a.m. on Friday.
The total number of cases in the UK is 3,583,907.
