A 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 78-year-old woman was found dead on property in Hereford.
West Mercia Police said officers initially responded to reports of a collision after a car crashed into a telegraph pole at 8 a.m. on Thursday (Jan. 6) in Eye Lane, Moreton Eye, Herefordshire.
However, after further investigation, police and paramedics visited an address in Hereford where they discovered a 78-year-old pensioner dead on the property.

A police spokesman said: “The death is being investigated as a murder and a 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation and is on remand.
“Our officers will remain on site while the investigation is ongoing.”
