Man has 'chunk of nose' bitten off in 'horrific' motorway service station attack

According to police, a man was bitten a piece of the nose in an attack on a motorway service station.

The incident occurred at Beaconsfield Services on the M40 in Buckinghamshire, where the 20-year-old victim was with a friend.

He was then attacked by a man and a piece of the victim’s nose was bitten in the attack – a detective described this as a “terrible injury”.

It happened on the trains going west around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 19th.

A 20-year-old man from Beaconsfield has been arrested on suspicion of serious assault. He was released as part of an investigation.

Investigator Detective Constable Nathan Devlin said, “It is believed that there was a verbal altercation between the victim and his friend and the perpetrator on the services prior to the attack.”

He added, “The victim was seriously injured in which a piece of his nose was bitten off. He needed emergency surgery and possibly further reconstructive operations. “
